During the year 2005-2006, in the making of the Net for God films, we were led by the Holy Spirit in an extraordinary way. The strength of the testimonies and the beauty of the pictures give us a very particular orientation revealed in the hymn to the Philippians (chapter 2, verses 1 to 6), the way of KENOSIS as lived by Christ.
He who was in very nature God, descended, was made man, became obedient to death on a cross. And God raised him from death! In this way of kenosis, Christ invites each of us to descent, to follow him in order to go out and meet others, the poorest in particular.

This film allows us to view extracts from the following films, and in this way to understand better the message that the Holy Spirit is giving us:

Brother Roger Offering of Unity, October 2005
Lights in the Night, February 2006
The Children of Stung Mean Chey, March 2006
The Things that are foolish in the world, December 2005
The friend of the Poor. L’Arche of Jean Vanier, May 2006
He who seeks finds. Ignatius of Loyola, June 2006

Ce film est réalisé par la Communauté du Chemin Neuf via le réseau de international prière « Net for God ».

Intercessione

This month we can pray

for each of us,
that we may find the strength
to reply to Christ’s calling,
to go out and meet others,
the poorest in particular.

Parola del mese

This month’s Scripture passage is from the letter to the Philippians, chapter 2, verses 6

to 11:

“Jesus who being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God
something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing,
being made in human likeness,
and became obedient to death,
even death on a cross.
Therefore God exalted him
to the highest place
and gave him the name
that is above every name...”
